Commercial Irrigation Farm

This impressive property is certainly one of the best farms in the country with 820 ha of irrigation lands that accommodate one of the largest most productive potato production plants in South Africa. Situated in a frost-free area, 40km from Ellisras (Lephalale), in the Waterberg catchment area, known for its deep red sand-loam fertile soil and abundance of water. The farm has 3 rivers that are used for irrigation. The water quality is of the best in the country and was tested as safe for human consumption without any filtering or sanitation needed.
There is 820 ha of irrigation lands, with 780 ha developed circles with underground piping of which 466 ha is equipped with 21 centre pivots for irrigation, with 8 pump stations, and several power points. There is an additional 1000ha of soft undeveloped land ideal for cropping and irrigation.
The farm infrastructure includes 18 houses, an office complex with several other storage areas which amongst others include a modern industrial potato packhouse with large industrial cool-rooms with cleaning and sorting equipment. An average of 21 120 bags of potatoes were packed daily in the packhouse. The farm also boasts multiple beautiful tourist attractions including a luxury bush lodge, riverside camping areas, and riverside chalets.
The farm has had success with the production of potatoes, maize, wheat, soybeans, pumpkins, watermelons, tomatoes and many other.
